INDDN is India's homegrown search engine. We index Indian websites, prioritise .in domains, support Indian languages, and power search results using Elasticsearch — not a foreign platform.
How is INDDN different from Google? ▼
INDDN focuses on Indian content first. We boost
.in and .co.in domains, understand Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali…), and never sell your search data to advertisers. We also provide an AI Answer box using Claude or LLaMA models.Is INDDN free to use? ▼
Yes. INDDN search is completely free. Creating an account to join projects and discover opportunities is also free.
Basic Search
How do I search? ▼
Type your query in the search box and press Enter or click Search. Results are ranked by relevance to your query, freshness, and India-first signals.
Why are some results from .com and not .in? ▼
INDDN prioritises Indian domains but also includes relevant international content. You can set your Search Region to
.in in the ⚙️ Settings panel to get a 60% .in / 40% global split, or .com for the reverse.Search Tabs

- All — General web results
- Images — Pages with OG images from Indian sites
- Videos — YouTube video results for your query
- News — Latest news from Indian publications + Top Stories
- Education / Government / Finance / Health / Jobs — Results filtered to those domain categories
- AI Mode — Split view: AI answer on left, results on right

Languages
Can I search in Hindi or other Indian languages? ▼
Yes! Type your query in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, or Malayalam. INDDN auto-detects the language and boosts matching content. You can also use the Language filter in the Tools dropdown on the search results page.

What is Search Region (.in / .com)? ▼
In the ⚙️ Settings panel, you can choose your Search Region:
🇮🇳 .in — 60% results from Indian domains (.in, .co.in, .gov.in), 40% global
🌐 .com — 60% results from global domains, 40% Indian
Your preference is saved and applied to every search automatically.

AI Answers
What is the AI Answer box? ▼
For informational and question queries, INDDN generates a 2-3 sentence direct answer using Claude (Anthropic) or LLaMA (Groq). The answer is based only on the top search results — it's not made up. Sources are shown below the answer.
Why doesn't every search show an AI answer? ▼
AI answers appear only for informational or question-style queries (e.g. "What is GST?", "How to start a business in India"). They don't appear for:
- Navigational queries (e.g. "NDTV website")
- Transactional queries (e.g. "buy iPhone India")
- Local queries (e.g. "restaurants near me")
AI Mode
What is AI Mode? ▼
AI Mode (click the ✦ AI Mode tab) shows a Google AI Mode-style layout: the full AI answer on the left with quick result cards, and the traditional results list on the right. There's also an "Ask anything" follow-up bar at the bottom.
Account FAQ
Do I need an account to search? ▼
No. Search is fully available without an account. An account is required to join projects, apply for roles, or access personalised features.
How do I delete my account? ▼
Email privacy@inddn.in with your registered email address and the subject "Delete Account". We'll process your request within 7 days.

We log search queries for quality improvement and trending analysis. We do not use third-party ad trackers or sell your data. Read our full Privacy Policy.
